5 Tools I Use Daily as a Blogger

We are always trying to make life and business run smoother. For a long time, I believed that I had to do things on my own. That using tools or asking for help meant that I was somehow weak and not good at my job. Crazy, right? Except I bet a few of you out there still feel this way. Luckily I have changed my mind when it comes to that.

I have been blogging since 2014 but I am really just beginning to use a lot more tools that are available to me. Some of them I have used for years and some of these tools are new to me but I am finding them an absolute necessity to my every day blogging habit.

Today I am going to share with you 5 tools that I use daily as a blogger. You don’t need to be just a blogger to use some of these tools. They come in handy for many other businesses as well. Tools are there to help make our businesses run smoother and that’s what these do.


Google Docs: I absolutely love using Google Docs. I have it on my phone and I have it on my computer. No matter where I am, I have access to my files. I never know when creativity is going to strike me so knowing that I can write (other than my Samsung Notes) and not lose the creative moment is wonderful.

Plus Google Docs allows me to share my documents with my clients so that they can view the work that I do for them. I can allow them to edit it or to just view the blog posts. Plus now my blogs are saved not only on my blog. I learned the hard way after losing years worth of blog posts that I wrote when my site was deleted.

Grammarly: I consider myself great with grammar. I have been using Grammarly now for about 6 months and I love it. It is on my computer as well as on my phone. My favorite part of this program is that it emails me my stats for the week. I love seeing how productive I have been compared to other users and my unique words used compared to other users. Plus even the best of us need help sometimes when it comes to the English language so this is nice to have as a back up when needed.

Canva: This is a tool that I have used for years. I love that Canva has layouts for images in all sorts of sizes. I use Pinterest, Facebook, and Instagram layouts the most but love that I can get such a variety. It is free to use (you can upgrade to get more options). Having good quality images on your social media helps to capture the attention of your audience.

Unsplash: Again, this is a site I have been using for about 8 months now. Images are always the hardest to find and they can get expensive to use. Unsplash allows you to use the images for free and you don’t have to name the source either. You can download them and use them in the Canva layouts or any other program that you use.

All you need to do is to type in a search term and images pop up. I always find choosing the right photo is the most time-consuming aspect of my blog posts but this site has made it easier for me to find images that I love. This is a brand new tool for me and I am so excited to share it. No matter how creative we are, there comes a time when we are just blocked. We are stuck for ideas and we have no idea what to write about. helps with that. This is a free content tool that gives you blog post ideas to help get you out of your writer's block.

I love the fact that it isn’t just a list of blog ideas. It is visual. It engages you when you use the website. It helps to spark creativity again.
